The Jay County Commissioners will meet on May 11, 2026, which starts at 9:00 a.m. at the Jay County Courthouse Auditorium, 1^st Floor, 120 N Court St. Ste 202, Portland, IN 47371.

The Board of Jay County Commissioners will consider a recommendation from the Jay County Plan Commission to adopt the amended Ordinance Section 219 Solar Energy System Standards as submitted at 10:15 a.m.  During the same public hearing the commissioners will also consider repealing the moratorium on Solar Farms contingent on the adoption of the proposed amendments.

The Board of Jay County Commissioners will consider a recommendation from the Jay County Plan Commission to adopt the amended Ordinance Section 217 Wind Farm Standards as submitted at 10:15 a.m.  During the same public hearing the commissioners will also consider repealing the moratorium on Wind Farms contingent on the adoption of the proposed amendments.

The Board of Jay County Commissioners will consider a recommendation from the Jay County Plan Commission to adopt a new Ordinance Section 220 Commercial Battery Storage as submitted at 10:15 a.m.  During the same public hearing the commissioners will also consider repealing the moratorium on Commercial Battery Energy System Standards contingent on the adoption of the proposed amendments.

The Board of Jay County Commissioners will consider a recommendation from the Jay County Plan Commission to adopt a new Ordinance Section 221 Data Center Facility Standards as submitted at 10:15 a.m. 

The meeting will be open for public comment at that time.  Those wishing to speak will need to sign in and will be limited to two minutes on the topic.
