Indiana 211 has been activated for Jay County residents. The assessments completed by Jay County EMA staff immediately following the storm were initial and commonly called a windshield assessment. This allowed EMA staff to gather estimates to provide to the state to show the need for services such as 211.

Residents can complete the comprehensive assessment by calling 2-1-1 or visiting in211.org and selecting "DAMAGE REPORTING" at the top of the webpage. The comprehensive assessment will include reporting damages and requesting any immediate needs for assistance such as tree removal.

For residents who need assistance, Jay County EMA staff will have dedicated hours Friday, August 4^th from 4 PM- 8 PM in the meeting room at the Portland Fire Station to assist residents in completing the comprehensive assessment and to answer questions.
